The Rules

Pick 4 Survivors in the order in which you hope they will finish from first through fourth.

SCORING

You will receive TWO POINTS every time:

• Jeff says one of your Survivor’s names
• One of your Survivor’s names appears as a graphic on the screen
• One of your Survivors gets injured, collides with something/someone, falls down, etc.

You will lose ONE POINT every time:

• A part of one of your Survivor’s is fuzzed out
• One of your Survivors is bleeped
• One of your Survivors cries (excluding crying during a family reunion or letter from home.)

These options do not end when a Survivor is eliminated from the game so jury members can continue to score points.

You do not score points for the recap or an extra footage episode that might be aired midseason.

Big Points:

• One of your Survivors is not eliminated – plus 5 points per Survivor
• One of your Survivors is eliminated – minus 5 points
• One of your Survivors takes part in a showmance – plus 5 points (once per coupling)
• One of your Survivors reads the tree mail – plus 5 points
• One of your Survivors win tribe immunity or luxury competition - plus 10 points (per competition rather than Survivor)
  
• One of your Survivors win individual immunity or luxury competition – plus 15 points
• One of your Survivors is asked to share a reward experience - plus 10 points
• One of your Survivors sits out a competition - minus 10 points
• One of your Survivors finds immunity idol – plus 10 points
• One of your Survivors uses immunity idol – plus 10 points
• One of your Survivors fails to use immunity idol so that he or she is eliminated – minus 10 points
• One of your Survivors is sent to Exile Island – minus 5 points (If an immunity idol is found on that trip, points are not subtracted. Having the immunity idol does not protect against losing points on future trips to Exile.)

Poll questions:
Each week, there will be a poll which result in 10 points for some Survivor. The poll will usually be which Survivor played the best game but could be something else depending upon the events of that week. This is your chance to impact the score – will you try to position your Survivor for a win or try to prevent another Survivor from getting ahead of yours?

What happens when tribes are switched up or there is a merge?
When the tribes get shuffled, the Survivors never know if their situation will improve, get worse, or just be different so the same should be true for our game. The week following any tribe shuffle or merge, you will have the option of changing your Survivor picks by posting a new Survivor to the blog. You won’t, however, be able to select which of your current Survivors gets replaced.
I will randomly generate a number from 1 to 4 and replace that Survivor from your list. Will this result in getting rid of your weakest person? Your strongest person? Or, will you end up replacing a person who has already been eliminated?

It will be up to you whether you want to take this chance or not.

Winners

• First place will be the person with the most points. (The pot -$15)
• Second place will be the person, other than the winner, who has the most points AND who selected the final Survivor. ($10)
• Last place will be the person in last place ($5)

Each week there will be an accounting of how points were awarded. (I will record each show in case there are concerns but your concerns must be heard by the start of the next episode.)
